We frequently stock these used models in various vintages and prices, depending on condition and musicality. Subject to availability. Currently we have a 48" Upright U1 circa 1972 reconditioned with a rare finish colour- $2888. plus moving.
They are locally purchased and serviced. Tuned before and after delivery. black Yamaha Uprights usually available ( 2 black grands in stock, one Mahogany G2 $5888)
Grey market Yamahas sometimes are available at $1200.- $2800. before services. We don't recommend pianos of unknown history, and many used ones come recently from South East Asia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Phillipines , Cambodia, Korea etc. Most were overly used in schools, hotels there and they were happy to get rid of these tired "Taxis".Most of the good pianos in other countries are kept by locals and the dregs are usually what are exported, with cabinets polished up .Local Victoria Schools used U1s from 1960s and 70s wholesale at $750.and up when available. Minimal service and warranty.Not recommended.
