Piano Tuning

Our policy with all sales is one free inhome tuning, and several tunings instore.

We recommend tuning all pianos at least once a year.
No brand or model "doesn't need tuning"; every piano with strings gradually goes out of tune.

Our inhome tunings take between 2-3 hours, because as musicians, we understand the difference between a quick job and professional service.
Our preferred tuning procedure is three passes:
  1. First pass quickly brings the pitch up
  2. Second corrects it to A440
  3. Final fine tuning makes it musical
As a result, our tunings can last years.
During an Allison Piano tuning service call, we generally also perform tone voicing and adjustments to pedals and keys as needed.
